The Sebastians Tenth Anniversary NYC Concert Series features encore performances of treasured works alongside new favorites, all brought to life by the finest baroque specialists.

Our programs this year include collaborations with singers, percussion, dance, and video artists. And, for this celebratory season, we are trying out earlier concert times—most of our evening concerts will be “Live at Five”, and our winter recitals (The Italian Violin, Bach in Motion, and Bach in Light) will be at 2pm.

Bach: Cantata 51 Buy Single Tickets

This encore performance of Bach’s Cantata 51 reunites the Sebastians with beloved Dutch-American soprano Katharine Dain, recent winner of the 2021 Edison Award, for a program featuring trumpet soloist Steven Marquardt and strings. The evening includes music by Corelli, Handel, and Telemann, closing with the Sebastians’ signature rendition of Vivaldi's Folia.

The “24 Violins” Buy Single Tickets

The “24 Violins” was the official string band for France's court at Versailles. It was so alluring that the British court copied its five-part structure almost immediately. We have gathered our largest ever group of strings to try to reimagine the sound of this magnificent ensemble, performing music by Jean-Baptiste Lully, who was famous as Louis XIV’s maître de musique, alongside Bach's French Overture.

Bach: Mass in G Buy Single Tickets

For our Tenth Anniversary Season Finale we present a special one-per-part performance of Bach’s Mass in G, BWV 236 with four exquisite solo singers. Works by Bach’s contemporaries will be woven through the movements of the mass, in a fitting celebratory cap to the season that has explored baroque music and Bach's influence across so many times and places.
