Every year  the Sebastians connect with audiences through dynamic and vital performances of music of the baroque and classical eras. Hailed as “everywhere sharp-edged and engaging,” the Sebastians are known for their “energetic… youthful, vigorous performance style…” and have been called New York’s “leading young early-music ensemble” (The New York Times).

This season  these inimitable musicans will present “The Mind of the Master: A Celebration of our Namesake, J. S. Bach.” The year-long celebration will include a concert of Bach’s Brandenburg Concerti; a program exploring Bach’s Musical Offering; a concert of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons with a newly-commissioned companion work by Tawnie Olson; the Complete J.S. Bach for Solo Violin as an installation piece; and a spectacular production of Bach’s St. John Passion with the singers of TENET.
